Selena, the Gregory Nava film freed around March of 1997, is a biographic depiction of the life & career of Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla Perez, whose burgeoning career was cut short when she was murdered at a age of Xxiii. the film was a career booster for the Bronx, New York-born Jennifer Lopez, who played Selena.
